  • Joey Wright

    JOEY WRIGHT

    Meet Joey Wright. Originally from Hammond, Indiana, Joey was a standout point guard at the University of Texas before being selected in the NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns. His professional playing career spanned the globe, with time in Asia, Europe, and Australia, including the NBL.

    It’s as a coach, however, where Joey has built his legacy. Since entering the NBL coaching ranks in 2003, he has won more games than any coach in league history. A three-time NBL Coach of the Year, Joey has led teams from multiple cities to the Semi Finals, holds the record for the longest winning streak in NBL history, and became the first coach to take a last-placed team all the way to a Grand Final.

    Joey is deeply invested in developing young athletes and teaching the game at a higher level. His coaching goes beyond drills, focusing on decision-making, discipline, and understanding how to play the game the right way. Athletes in his environment are challenged, held to high standards, and given the tools to grow with confidence and purpose.

  • Adam Gibson

    ADAM GIBSON

    Meet Adam Gibson! A 16 year NBL veteran, Adam played for the Brisbane Bullets, South Dragons, Gold Coast Blaze, Adelaide 36ers, and South East Melbourne Phoenix. He’s a two-time NBL champion, five-time All-NBL Team member, was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2009, and proudly represented the Boomers at the 2012 Olympics and multiple FIBA World Cups.

    Beyond his playing career, Adam is deeply committed to developing the next generation of athletes. He brings a genuine passion for teaching the game the right way, helping young players build confidence, discipline, and a strong understanding of basketball. Known for his attention to detail and ability to connect with athletes, Adam creates an environment where players are challenged, supported, and inspired to improve every session.

Strength Squad is our structured strength and conditioning program designed to elevate athletic performance for serious basketball players. Delivered in our fully equipped gym, sessions focus on power, speed, and agility to complement on court training. Led by Jason Minerve, athletes develop strength, reduce injury risk, and improve the physical foundation needed for long term performance.
